2012 CLASS SCHEDULE

From Marti and Me Club is $30 for six months. We meet on 4th Sunday each month with the exception of our 1st meeting which will be January 15, 2011.
Each Club members will receive an exclusive pattern that will be featured with optional size choices and excellent step by step instructions. We will feature a template From Marti Michell as well as a demo of that ruler.

This class will introduce you to basic patchwork quilting by machine. In this six week class you will learn tips and tricks, choosing fabrics, tools, basic piecing techniques and terminology, borders and binding. You will need a sewing machine and know how to use it. Cost $60 plus supplies.

Denise Green will be guiding you through machine quilting on your regular sewing machine using skillbuilder panels from Renae G. Allen. You will learn how to make pretty curves, crisp points and options for starting and stopping each design. When you are done quilting your panel you will have a beautiful display piece to help inspire your machine quilting on future projects. $40.00/panels and companion skillbuilder books separate.
Mondo Bag Class
Did I hear you say "If only I had room in my bag for one more thing..."? This pack contains instructions and 2 Quiltsmart printed interfacing panels to make 1 Mondo Bag. Perfectly-matched seams, easy construction, roomy, comfortable bag using Quiltsmart grid interfacing technique. Cost $20 plus supplies.

Thread Play Class
Are you ready to learn some background fills for your quilting? Denise will guide you through using various threads and styles of quilting to add texture to your choice of 4 different Stephanie Brandenburg Daydream Panels. Discussion about batting, threads and needles will help you gain confidence with your machine quilting. This class is for students who feel comfortable with basic free motion quilting techniques. Cost $50 plus supplies
Saturday, January 21 - 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
This class covers everything you need to know to improve your border making skills as you create your own one-of-a -kind quilt. The first class begins with 3 different choices of center star blocks that will be set on point. Then each class will cover 3 different border choices. You will choose one each class as your quilt grows. Many tips on precision piecing will be covered as well as a no-fail technique for perfect mitered borders. Winnie also has a formula that works every time to make a pieced border fit the quilt. Cost $65.00 plus supplies.
Wednesday, February 1, 15, March 14 - 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Learn easy, fun techniques for paper-piecing and curved piecing. Denise will be guiding you through this fun Judy Niemeyer Design. In the first class you will learn how to cut your fabric quickly and efficiently for paper-piecing. The first class will also teach you the fundamentals of paper-piecing using Judy Niemeyer’s proven techniques. In the 2nd class you will learn be guided through stress-free curved piecing and how to finish assembling your quilt. Cost $80, plus supplies.
Friday, January 27, February 17 - 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Judy Niemeyer Glacier Star Class
We have broken down this wonderful quilt into 4 full days of learning new techniques to complete your Glacier Star Quilt. You have the option to take this class as a Saturday series or a Monday series. There will be a total of 24 hours classroom instruction, with an option to also attend our 4th Wednesday - Niemeyer Wednesday at no additional cost.
The 1st class will guide you through the process for cutting your fabric for paper-piecing quickly and efficiently. Paper Piecing techniques for the Lonestar and Flying Geese Units.
The 2nd class - New York Beauty Units, Snowflakes and Feathered Star.
The 3rd class - Curved piecing, cutting fabrics for outer borders.
The 4th and final class we will be putting it all together, including Y seams. $120/plus pattern & supplies

Niemeyer Wednesday at Pinwheels and Posies with Certified Instructor Denise Green
Do you Niemeyer? Are you stumped with the next step? Just want some time to sew on the project you started in class? Please join us on the 4th Wednesday of the month between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm to have our certified Judy Niemeyer instructor, Denise Green, help you with your project. $10 instructor fee. (This fee is waived if you are currently enrolled in one of Judy Neimeyer classes or attending our Glacier Star Technique of the month).
Please Note: This group is for students who are already familiar with Judy's techniques and patterns. We have found the best way for you to get started on a Judy Niemeyer project is to enroll in a class with Denise Green.

All classes must be paid for in advance.
Class fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other classes.
In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a complete refund.
At the time of registration, you will receive a complete supply list. The cost of supplies is not included in the class fee, unless otherwise noted.
We suggest waiting until a week before class begins before purchasing supplies.
